The Lowdown on Your Data
This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe. Privacy is a big deal to us, so let’s get into it.
1. What Information We Collect
To run our studio and connect with people, we need a little bit of information. We’ve broken it down into two types:
a) The Details You Share With Us: This is the information you consciously give us.
• For Projects: When you reach out about a project, our form collects your name, email, project type, budget, and the details of your vision. This helps us see if we're a good fit right from the start.
• For Careers: If you want to join our team, our job inquiry form collects your personal info, your specialty, and your portfolio so we can review your work.
b) The technical stuff (coming soon): We plan to add analytics tools to our site to see how it’s performing. When we do, we’ll automatically collect some anonymous data as you browse (like your browser type and which pages you visit). This will involve cookies, which are tiny files that help us improve the site. We'll update this section before we flip that switch.
2. How and Why We Use Your Information
We’re not in the business of doing anything weird with your data. We use your information for a few simple reasons:
• To talk to you: If you contact us for a project or a job, we’ll use your details to get back to you.
• To understand your needs: The info you provide helps us figure out how we can best work together.
• To improve our website: Once we start using analytics, we’ll look at the anonymous data to make our site better and easier to use.
• To handle business: We may also need to use your information for administrative tasks, like sending an invoice or fulfilling our contractual duties.
3. Who We Share Your Information With (and Who We Don’t)
Our rule is simple: we don’t sell, trade, or rent your personal information to anyone.
We will never share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. However, to run our studio, we need to use a few trusted third-party services. The only times your data might be seen by anyone else are:
• Our Service Providers: We use some trusted tools for things like cloud file storage, project management, and sending emails/invoices. We only share the absolute minimum information necessary, and we ensure any partner we work with has the same high standards for privacy as we do.
• Legal Authorities: If we are required by law to share information (for example, in response to a court order), we will comply. This is rare, but it can happen.
4. You're in Control: Your Rights
It’s your data, and you have rights over it. You can:
• Request a copy of the personal information we have about you.
• Ask us to correct anything that’s wrong.
• Tell us to delete your personal information from our records.
• Withdraw Consent: If you gave us consent to use your data (like for a newsletter), you can change your mind at any time.
If you want to do any of these things, just shoot an email to
privacy@silvweb.com.
5. Keeping Your Data Safe & Sound
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information from being lost or accessed by anyone who shouldn’t see it. We also don't hang onto your data forever. We only keep it for as long as we have a legitimate reason to.
6. A Note on Children's Privacy
Our services are built for businesses and professionals, so we don't direct our work toward children or knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their data by mistake, please contact us immediately, and we will remove it from our systems.
7. Questions?
If you have any questions or concerns about this policy or how we handle your information, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at
privacy@silvweb.com. We’re happy to chat about it.
